Why Your Dream Job Awaits: Become the New Resort Manager at Go Montgenèvre
Imagine waking up every day to the breathtaking beauty of the French Alps, with a fresh blanket of snow sparkling in the morning sun. You’re not just visiting this winter wonderland—you’re living it, leading a team in one of the most stunning ski resorts in Europe. If you’ve ever dreamed of blending your professional skills with an alpine lifestyle, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. Go Montgenèvre is searching for a new Resort Manager, and this could be your chance to turn that dream into reality.
What’s in it for You?
We all want to find that perfect balance between work and play, a role that not only challenges us but also rewards us in ways beyond a paycheck. The Resort Manager position at Go Montgenèvre offers a unique blend of professional growth, adventure, and lifestyle that’s hard to beat. Here’s why:
1. Live and Work in the French Alps: Your office is a ski resort nestled at 1,860 meters, with snow-capped peaks as your backdrop and ski slopes right at your doorstep. The scenery alone is enough to inspire anyone, but it’s the lifestyle that will truly captivate you.
2. A Role with Real Impact: As the Resort Manager, you won’t just be managing; you’ll be leading a team, ensuring that our guests have the time of their lives while also driving the commercial success of the resort. Your decisions and leadership will shape the experience of thousands of visitors every season.
3. An All-Inclusive Package: We offer a competitive salary (€30,000 - €40,000 pro rata per annum), but that’s just the beginning. You’ll also receive a work phone, laptop, season pass, equipment hire, full training, assistance with accommodation if required and subsidised use of company vehicles. Plus, you’ll enjoy the perks of living in a world-class ski resort.
4. Professional Growth Opportunities: This is not just a seasonal gig—there’s potential for renewal each season, and for the right candidate, opportunities to grow within the company. You’ll be contributing significantly to the company’s success and direction, with a chance to make a long-term impact.

Is This Role for You?
Before you pack your bags and head to Montgenèvre, let’s make sure this role is the right fit. We’re looking for someone who is more than just qualified; we want someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a passion for the mountains, and can lead with both heart and strategy.
- Are you fluent in English, with at least a good grasp of French (fluency also a bonus)? This role requires clear communication with both staff and guests.
- Can you manage and motivate a diverse team? Your interpersonal skills will be key in ensuring a positive work culture.
- Do you love problem-solving and handling “curve balls”? In a resort environment, flexibility and quick thinking are essential.
- Are you committed to excellence in customer service? Our guests’ satisfaction is your top priority.
- Do you have an EU passport, French Residency or long term multi-entry visa to work in France.
What Makes You Stand Out?
Think about your past experiences. Have you worked in a fast-paced environment where you had to juggle multiple responsibilities? Have you managed a team in a hospitality setting? Do you have a knack for turning challenges into opportunities? If so, we want to hear from you.
A Day in the Life of a Resort Manager
Let’s paint a picture of what your day might look like. You start the morning with a quick meeting with your team, ensuring everyone is ready to greet the guests and that all operations are running smoothly. You spend part of your day overseeing the cleaning schedules, coordinating with local partners, and handling any guest concerns that arise. By midday, you might be out on the slopes, checking in on the skiing conditions or meeting with guests to ensure they’re having a great time.
As the sun sets over Montgenèvre, you wrap up the day by reviewing the resort’s performance and planning for the next. And when the workday ends, the mountains are yours to explore—whether that’s a few more runs down the slopes, a relaxing evening at one of the local après-ski spots, or simply enjoying the stunning views.
Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Join Us
Nicola Simpson, our amazing Resort Manager for the past several years, is moving over to our reservations team. While we’ll miss her leadership in the resort, this transition opens the door for a new leader to step in and make their mark. Nicola leaves behind big shoes to fill, but also a well-oiled machine that’s ready for the next chapter. You will receive full training and support from the wider team, Nicola herself and Ben the CEO.
