We have reduced the cancellation charges and will work within all relevant UK and French law to ensure that we look after our guests with future situations and scenarios.

As a business, we’re in a strong position. As you know, we are based locally in Montgenevre and therefore have low overheads. We only commit costs when we deliver holidays and we have been working remotely long before it was cool. Therefore, we are not worried about being around for many seasons to come.

We will do our best to ensure that your holiday meets your expectations. Due to the ever-changing nature of the Covid-19 crisis, we may have to modify or withdraw some of the facilities and resort services advertised in order to ensure the safety of all. Whenever possible, we will notify you in advance, but sometimes at short notice.

Montgenèvre

Since the beginning of the summer, Montgenèvre has been open and operating, albeit with a few new social distancing measures. The lifts, golf course and even the Durancia pool and spa were all open for business. It was busy with people enjoying getting out to the mountains and using private chalets and apartments for their families and groups.

Some of the other new policies implemented in Montgenèvre;

  • Extensive cleaning practises within properties, restaurants and ski lifts
  • Social distanced staff accommodation and work practises
  • Transfer vans cleaned internally between each group and drivers with masks and hand gel
  • We carbon balance (offset) all transfers going forward
  • We are ensuring that all welcomes and departures are conducted with a socially distanced manner.
  • All staff will receive Covid-specific hygiene training and safety equipment (PPE).
  • All common areas or contact points will be disinfected in between all groups.
  • Where there is normally a maid and cleaning service, you can choose not to have it if you prefer that no one enters your room or chalet during your stay. Our local staff will have the temperature checked before each shift.

Partners

All partner hotels and apartment blocks will be managed by their own local and professional teams, in accordance with the Covid laws of France. At Go Montgenevre we only work with carefully selected trusted partners and we have checked their standards personally.

No big events:

We will not offer group excursions in the summer or after-event excursions for large numbers of people in the winter, in order to reduce the risk for all holidaymakers.

Spa areas, jacuzzis and swimming pools:

Opening hours and the number of people in the spa areas, jacuzzis and pools may be limited, depending on local regulations. Where they are open, there will be extra cleaning and disinfection.

When travelling:

Everyone, including staff, is required to wear a face cover when travelling, in accordance with local regulations. You will need to bring your own face cover.

In some countries and regions, you may be required to wear a mask when in other public places, both indoors and outdoors. Check local regulations before you travel and bring some spare parts.

And remember that the best way to stay safe is to wash your hands regularly with soap and water and to keep a social distance from others.

Insurance

Insurance for international guests. Good news; There are some insurance companies in most countries that will give you various levels of cancellation and medical cover. We have created some information on what to look for in a policy.

Before you travel:

  • Cancellation due to you or a member of your party contracting COVID-19
  • A requirement to self-isolate during the time of departure
  • Flight cancellation, accommodation or resort closure

During your trip:

  • You are required to return home due to local lockdown rules
  • Additional accommodation costs if you are required to extend your trip due to COVID-19

Here is a list of some of the best insurance companies we have found offering levels of COVID-19 cover, if you are travelling from the UK. the providers could change what they offer so please do check the policy cover documentation before committing. Most wont cover against FCO travel restrictions and advice, so keep an eye on government advice for this too.

Confirm and start getting excited!

Secure the reservation with a 35% deposit, the balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival and there is a 1.5% booking fee. All money is fully refundable for cancellations up to 31 days before travel and then a full voucher if changes are due to government decisions. Full information here.
